Where We Are Right Now

Graham Crockford, Nick Page, Michael Crouch and Mark Bowler are walking 100km in 24 hours, without sleep, for Oxfam, assisted by their support crew: Ali Hamilton, Amanda Grimes, Jenni Daniel and John Scott. Watch their progress in realtime here on the 4th and 5th June. Tweet them moral support as they go around, and enjoy photos of destroyed feet and swollen knees.

Thanks must go to CHP Consulting for the very generous donation to the cause!

Blinking Into the Sunlight

Phew... well, blog updates during the event turned out to be impossible due to various technical problems, so we instead hammered Twitter with updates and photos whenever we had reception (which was actually pretty rarely).

In short, we did it!  And we did it in style - the 21st team in overall out of 150.  And 100 of those teams were unable to all finish - we were one of only 50 teams who managed to keep every member walking until they crossed the line.  It seems this year's event, due to extremes of temperature and weather and goodness knows what else, was considerably tougher on the competitors, and significantly slower, than previous years.

We'll be back soon with the full story as we remember it (because, of course, "you weren't there, man"), plus photos of man and blister.  But first, we have the real world to contend with.
